Activity history
The Activity page is your kitchen's log of what happened. Each count, delivery, prep, waste log, transfer and shift note is one row that says who did it and when. Every role can open it, and you can filter it to one product to see how each event moved that product's stock.
Where to find it
- On Home, the Recent activity card shows the latest events. Tap See more activity to open the full page.
- In the sidebar, or on More on a phone, tap Activity.
- On Home, tap a card in Highlighted products to open Activity filtered to that product.
- Tap a shift note push notification to open Activity with the Notes chip on.
What each row is

Tap a row to expand it. A count shows each product's old and new stock. A receipt shows each line with its quantity and price. A waste log shows each item and its reason. The page does not open another screen when you tap a row.
How the feed is ordered
Rows sit under day headings: Today, Yesterday, This week, then dates. Each heading shows how many events fall on it. The page loads 20 rows at a time and loads more as you scroll.
A row sorts by the date the event says it happened, not the moment someone typed it in. A delivery that you enter today but date last Tuesday lists under last Tuesday, and the same goes for backdated waste and prep. Shift notes are the exception: a note sorts by when it was logged, so a note you backdate still shows at the top of the feed.
Filter the feed
The chips at the top filter by kind: All, Counts, Receipts, Prep, Waste and Notes. Kitchens with transfers also get a Transfers chip. Each chip shows how many events match. You can select more than one chip. Tap All to clear the selection.
If you select exactly one kind other than Notes or Transfers, the page shows a table instead of cards.
Tap Filters to filter by User, Product or Date range. Tap Clear all filters to remove them.
Export receipts or waste
On Standard and Pro, the Receipts table has an Export receipts CSV button and the Waste table has an Export waste CSV button. Owners, managers and staff see them. Viewers do not.
The export holds every receipt, or every waste log, in the kitchen. It ignores the user, product and date filters. A receipt export has one row per receipt line, with columns such as Received Date, Supplier, Invoice #, Product, Line Type, Quantity, Unit, Cost Per Unit and Line Total. The file name carries today's date, for example receipt-history-2026-10-01.csv. A field that contains a comma or a quote mark is wrapped in double quotes, the CSV convention set out in RFC 4180, so a spreadsheet keeps it in one cell. On a phone, the export opens the share sheet so you can save or send the file.
The export lists what Rinvy recorded. Keep the supplier invoices themselves as well. IRS Publication 583 names invoices, receipts and paid bills among the supporting documents that a business keeps for its records.
Why did a product's stock change?
Set Filters → Product to that product. The feed then shows only the events that touched it, each with the stock before and after:
- Counts that counted it.
- Receipts and waste logs with a line for it.
- Preps where it is the recipe's output or one of its ingredients.
The product list includes archived products, so you can still trace a product you no longer stock. Shift notes do not show in a product view, because a note is not tied to a product.
Each row in a product view shows how that event moved the product's stock. For example, Stock 4 → 10 lb (+6) means the stock was 4 lb before the event and 10 lb after it. A green change is an increase and a red change is a decrease. For a product that you track as OK, LOW or OUT, the row shows the status change, for example Stock OK → LOW. A row reads No stock change recorded when the event left no stock record for the product.
On a count row, the first number is what Rinvy expected from the earlier records, and the second is what the counter found. The gap is everything that nobody logged, mostly what the line used during service.
Rinvy reads these numbers from the stock history each time you open the page. If someone corrects an earlier receipt, the numbers on the later rows change to match. See editing past counts and receipts.

The Friday count shows 18 lb that no receipt, prep or waste log explains. For chicken that goes straight to the line, that is normal: it is what service used. If the number is much bigger than your sales explain, look for a missing prep or waste log first.
