Notification history
The Notification history page lists every notification that Rinvy sent you in the last 90 days, newest first, and says whether each one reached a phone. Use it to find an alert that you swiped away, or to find out why a notification did not reach you. Every role and every plan has the page.
Open the page
Go to Kitchen settings and open the Notifications section.
- Tap See what Rinvy has sent you.
The page is not in the main menu. It is a record that you look at when you need it.
What the page shows
Notifications are grouped under Today, Yesterday and This week, then by date, newest first. Each row shows the title, the date and time, and the first 90 characters of the message. The page loads 20 rows at a time. Tap Load older to see 20 more.
The icon color follows the kind of notification:
- Red for stockout risk, overdue deliveries and inventory health.
- Orange for low stock, expiration warnings, price changes and food cost drift.
- Blue for order reminders, invoice processing, shift notes and emailed sales reports.

For example, your phone was in a locker when the 6 AM stockout check ran. Under Today, the top row reads Stockout risk detected, with the message "2 products are projected to run out before their next delivery." Tap the row to open Home and find the two products under Needs attention.
The page shows only your own notifications for the kitchen that you have open. Other team members see their own list. If you work in more than one kitchen, switch kitchens to see the other kitchen's history.
Rows older than 90 days are removed.
Where each row opens
A tapped row opens the screen where the alert lives, not a copy of the message:
| Notification | Opens |
|---|---|
| Low stock | Products |
| Price changes, expiration warnings, stockout risk, food cost | Home |
| Inventory health | The count that found it |
| Order reminders | Order list |
| Overdue deliveries, invoice processing | Receive |
| Shift notes | Activity history, filtered to notes |
| Emailed sales reports | Sales data |
A row without a link, for example an old row written before links existed, is not tappable.
Why did a notification not reach my phone?
The label at the end of the row tells you why. Rinvy writes each notification to this page before it tries to send it, so the row exists even when the push did not go out:
| Row shows | What it means |
|---|---|
| No label | The push went out to at least one of your devices. |
| push off | You turned off push for this kind of notification. You can turn it on again in notification preferences. |
| no device | You have no phone registered for push. Install the iOS or Android app, sign in, and allow notifications. The web app does not receive push. |
| push failed | Rinvy tried to send it, but no device accepted it. |
A row with no label means that Firebase Cloud Messaging, the service Rinvy sends pushes through, accepted the push for one of your devices. Firebase's guide to message delivery explains that accepted is not the same as shown on the screen. The phone can still hold the push back. On an iPhone, check the Rinvy entry in notification settings: a Rinvy push set to Scheduled Summary waits for the next summary instead of arriving right away. A Focus or Do Not Disturb can also keep a phone quiet.
push failed usually means that the phone Rinvy had on file stopped taking pushes, for example after the app was deleted from it. Rinvy then removes that phone from your account. Open the Rinvy app on your phone, signed in and with notifications allowed, and the app registers the phone again. The next push then goes through.
Which notifications will I see here?
You see the notifications sent to your role, on your kitchen's plan:
- Staff and viewers get two kinds: low stock and expiration warnings. Their history holds only those.
- Owners and managers get every kind that the kitchen's plan includes. Food cost drift, inventory health, invoice processing and emailed sales reports come with Standard or higher.
- You never get your own actions back. The person who writes a shift note gets no push for it. The person who completes a count gets no inventory health push for that count.
A notification that you turned off still has a row, labeled push off. Emails, such as the inventory count summary and the Week in review, are not listed.
Each notification is listed once. Rinvy sends an expiration warning once per lot and a stockout risk push once per morning, so one alert does not fill the page with repeats.
A record, not an inbox
The page has no unread count and nothing to clear. The alert that a notification was about stays on Home in Needs attention or Worth a look until you deal with it. To see alerts after they leave Home, use the Alerts report.
The page is also not your phone's own list. Android keeps a notification history of recent notifications on the device. Rinvy's page keeps 90 days, and it also lists the notifications that never reached a phone at all.
